How Agencies Turn Client Videos Into Shorts, Reels and TikToks at Volume

TL;DR

Paste each client video's YouTube link or upload the file, and Highstyle returns up to 10 ranked, captioned 9:16 clips to download and post. Pro covers over 8 hours of client video a month for $49, and Operator covers over 41 hours for $199.

An agency can turn a client's long video into Shorts, Reels and TikToks by pasting its YouTube link into Highstyle, or uploading the file, and downloading the clips that come back. Each video returns up to 10 captioned 9:16 clips, ranked best first, and a run usually takes about 7 minutes, longer for a long video.

Highstyle makes the clips and doesn't post them, so you publish from the scheduler you already use. If you're still comparing tools, the best AI video clipping tools in 2026 lists the options.

The steps for each client video

  1. Open Clip Studio, where you start a run. Paste the client video's public YouTube link, or upload the file. Uploads take MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and M4V files up to 10 GB, and a video has to run at least a minute. Private, members-only and age-restricted YouTube videos can't be fetched by link, so upload those as files.
  2. Pick a goal. Most views makes 15 to 35 second clips, and Creator Rewards makes clips of 70 to 180 seconds, the length TikTok's Creator Rewards program pays on. Campaign-safe uses plain captions with no effects and no end card. Each goal sets the other options, and you can change any of them. Best clip length for TikTok, Reels and Shorts lists the lengths that work on each platform.
  3. Type the client's handle into the Brand row. On a paid plan Highstyle burns it small and semi-transparent onto every clip. On the free plan it goes on the best clip of each batch, in place of the Highstyle watermark. The row saves to your workspace, so change it when you move to the next client.
  4. Run it. Highstyle transcribes the video, picks the moments, trims filler and long pauses, reframes to 9:16 and burns in captions. You can close the tab, and Highstyle emails you when the clips are ready.
  5. Review the clips in rank order. Each has a score, a title and a cover image.
  6. Download the clips you want as MP4 files and publish them from your own scheduler. To get a client's approval, send the file or copy the clip's share link, which anyone can open without an account. The share page shows a Highstyle sign-up prompt under the clip.

A steady stream of client videos can also go in through the API or the Claude connector. Both spend the same minutes as the app, an API request can ask for 1 to 50 clips, and running clips needs a paid plan.

What comes back

  • Up to 10 clips per video, ranked best first and scored from 1 to 10.
  • 9:16 MP4 files with captions burned in. TikTok's own caption look is the default, and the Editing row has other styles, including a plain one for clients who want it. How to caption short-form videos explains font, size, placement and timing.
  • A title and a cover image for each clip, and a title card over the opening on the default caption style.
  • A music bed under the speech, on by default, from a royalty-free library. You can turn it off in the Sound row.
  • On clips cut from a YouTube link, a one-second Watch the Full Video card at the end that points to the original video. You can turn it off in the End card row.

Which plan fits an agency

Minutes count the length of the video you clip. Every new account starts with 60 free minutes and needs no card, which is enough for a first client video of up to an hour. Clips from free runs carry a small Highstyle watermark, and paid plans export without it.

Operator$199 a month, or $1,669 a year2,500 minutes (over 41 hours)10

Videos at once is how many runs a plan can have in progress. At the limit, Highstyle refuses a new run until one finishes.

A client who posts one hour-long video a week sends you 4 or 5 videos a month, about 240 to 300 minutes of source.

  • Starter fits a client who posts two hour-long videos a month.
  • Pro fits one client like that, with room to spare.
  • Operator fits eight to ten of them.

Each month's minutes stay spendable for 60 days. Annual billing costs about 30% less, and its minutes last a year. See every plan on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

How many client videos can an agency run at once?

Free plans run 2 videos at a time, Starter 3, Pro 5 and Operator 10. Highstyle refuses a new run past the limit until one finishes, and charges nothing.

Does Highstyle post the clips to my clients' accounts?

No. Highstyle makes the clips, and you download them and publish with your own scheduler or each platform's app.

How do I keep each client's clips separate?

Every run appears in one list under the title of its source video, and there are no client folders. Name uploaded files after the client, and change the Brand row to the client's handle before each run. An API request can set a different brand every time.

Do I need my client's permission to clip their videos?

You need the right to use them. The terms ask you to confirm that you own the videos you submit or have the necessary rights and permissions, so get your client's agreement before you clip and repost their content.

How reliable is the ranking?

The score is the model's rating of each moment, from 1 to 10, and it orders the clips within one run. A rating isn't a promise of views, so watch the top clips before they go out. On a YouTube link Highstyle also reads the video's most-replayed graph and timestamped comments when they exist, which helps most on videos that already have views.
